As a professor and doctoral tutor, Wang Xinhua pays his primary attention to research on secondary refining in the steel-making process, continuous casting and control of non-metallic inclusions in the steel. At the meeting, four questions were elaborated: control of A-type inclusions in heavy haul rail steel; technology of heterogeneous nucleation of MnS dependent oxide particle in heavy haul rail steel production; MnS inclusion in as cast steel; and morphologic changes of MnS inclusion in steel during heating process at high temperature. An in-depth exchange about difficulties in the production practice and problems in the research was carried out with the researchers of PISI.
