Vanadium Titanium
（shortly referred to as ISVT hereinafter）published its first papers in 1980 as a quarterly journal, which are distributed
home and abroad. Its domestic and international publication numbers are
CN51-1245/TF and ISSN1004-7638 respectively. It has brought out 96 issues in 23
volumes since 1980 with over 1200 academic and technical papers published in
total.

ISVT is a comprehensive metallurgical periodical, first of
its kind in China, and even in the world, which is primarily concerned with
smelting of vanadium-bearing titaniferous magnetite ore, a typical iron ore
complex in the world, and the comprehensive utilization of vanadium and titanium
resources in the ore.

ISVT aims to provide sources on mining, extracting and
smelting of vanadium-bearing titaniferous magnetite ore and application of V and
Ti in steel. It is focused on comprehensive uses of vanadium, titanium and
other valuable elements in the intergrown ore. As the most influential
publication in the industry, ISVT represents results of fundamental study,
technical trend and production technology in the aforesaid domains. Technical
development for common iron ore is also covered.

ISVT editorial
office, with a staff of 6 senior editors, strictly observes international
publication standards and practices. Its academic level and output quality have
been steadily improved and extensively acknowledged. As a result, since 1990
ISVT has been listed among major journals referred to as the Chinese Scientific
and Technical Paper Resources by the Institute of Scientific and Technical
Information of China. ISVT is also archived into the top three digital
periodical networks in China, namely, ChinaInfo Digital Periodicals, Tsinghua
Tongfang Chinese Academic Periodicals and Database of Chinese Scientific and
Technical Periodicals.
