Vanadium nitride
Publish time:Jan 01 2006
Vanadium nitride is a carbon nitride, primarily used as an additive in place of FeV for vanadium micro-alloyed steels to improve their combined mechanical property and weldability. Use of VN in high strength low alloy steels can save 20-40% of vanadium consumption, thus bringing about a lot of cost cutting benefits. As a result, it has found wide applications in steel, building, automobile and petroleum industries. With supply falling short of demand, it has a promising outcome in the market.
